Originally the coach house for the Whangaimoana homestead this little cottage, has been converted to very snug accommodation for two people. Set behind the main house with its own courtyard and garden it is fully self-contained. You can lie in the queensize bed and watch television or simply watch the flames flickering in the open fire. The fully equipped kitchen has hand painted cupboard doors, microwave and a fridge stocked with your breakfast provisions----bacon, eggs, tomatoes, fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juice, bread milk, tea and freshly ground Supreme coffee. Home baking, fresh flowers and some sweets will make you feel at home. A separate lavatory and shower, heated towel rail and bathroom heater completes the bathroom.The private courtyard has chairs, table, umbrella and BBQ for your outdoor dining The very rugged but beautiful Palliser coastline offers many opportunities for recreation. Climb the lighthouse steps, visit the very large seal colony or walk to the Pinnacles where some scenes were filmed for Lord of the Rings. Palliser Bay is renowned for the fishing and diving or you could walk or cycle. Being only thirty minutes away from Martinborough it is easy to dine at one of the fine restaurants or closer still is the Lake Ferry hotel
