Tui cottage is the perfect retreat in summer or winter. A large original 1900’s villa nestled amongst mature walnut, kowhai, oak, gum and citrus trees and surrounded by a cleverly designed large private garden. Tui Cottage is located only minutes from Martinborough's town square and offers style and tranquillity in the renowned wine village.

Perfectly positioned for enjoying Martinborough's attractions, Tui cottage is only moments away from tennis courts, vineyards, golf-courses, cafes, and delightful shops.

Enjoy the large open fire or sink into the clawfoot bathtub on a winter's evening. In the summer sit in the sun on the North-facing veranda or shelter under a large tree in the private garden. Cycle or stroll minutes down the road into the village and sample the local wines.

Tui cottage offers three beautifully presented bedrooms - two rooms with queen beds (the Walnut and Olive rooms) and the Lavender room has twin single beds. There is enough room to sleep six people so it is ideal for a group of friends or a family with children. Every comfort and luxury has been considered, with crisp cotton sheets, towels and a wonderful log fire and electric blankets to keep you warm all night in the winter.

The kitchen is part of a spacious open-plan living and dining area, with french doors opening to a sunny, sheltered and expansive decking area that captures all day sun. There are large tables for both indoor and al fresco dining.

Martinborough

Located in the Wairarapa and just over one hour’s drive from Wellington you can enjoy tasting world class wines, excellent dining, scenic drives, breath-taking views, strolls in the beautiful countryside and the Martinborough region's rural charm and hospitality. Martinborough has a high number of sunshine hours and low rainfall.

The key attraction of Martinborough is wine and all that goes with wine - tastings, buying, talking with Martinborough's winemakers, walking through Martinborough's vineyards and generally absorbing the Martinborough atmosphere. But Martinborough's scale is perhaps it's greatest advantage. Everything is boutique-scale, the big wine producers are absent. Park your car in the Square and stroll to the vineyards, the nearest is only 5 minutes away.

There are numerous leisure pursuits to enjoy such as golf at the Martinborough course, tennis, trout fishing, horse trekking, canoeing, jet boating or quad biking if you are feeling energetic, visiting the colonial museum or just indulging in a little retail therapy. On a summer afternoon take a drive down to the Palliser coastline to explore the wild beaches and stunning rock formations or simply relax in one of Martinborough's varied cafes, restaurants, shops and vineyards.

Martinborough is also host to the annual "Toast Martinborough" wine and food festival and the annual Martinborough fairs. So hire a tandem cycle and explore.
