| Stock Route Cottage is situated about four minutes walk from the Martinborough Square in the heart of the flourishing Wairarapa Wine Appellation area with several wineries an easy stroll away, golf courses, surf beaches, trout fishing, resaurants, and a wind farm within comfortable driving range. Wellington is a little over an hours drive away. The cottage itself is set on a well fenced quarter acre section with abundant fruit trees and lawn. The rural feeling is enhanced by a large empty section adjacent and uninterupted views to the Rimutaka Hills over Centennial and Considine Parks. The public swimming baths are at the end of the street and the Information Centre around the corner. Stock Route Cottage provides spacious and comfortable, if slightly rustic, self-contained accommodation with two queen-sized rooms and one twin. All linen is provided and a trundle bed or cot may be organised. The bathroom has a shower, clawfoot bath and WC (second WC at the back). The living room with open fire, TV and music is seperate from the kitchen/family room which provides a Kent fire, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer stocked with basic items. Gas BBQ and outdoor seating complete the picture. |
