The Martinborough Colonial Museum is situated on the town Square and is well worth a visit. The 1894 building, which originally housed the town library, was opened in 1979 as a fully furnished two bedroomed Victorian home.
Aside from the display of Victorian artifacts the Museum houses a well captioned display of Moa bones from the Wairarapa coast, books, photographs and papers relating to the settlement of Martinborough and all sorts of interesting things relating to the region.
