Part Time Staff Vacancy
Although there are now over 50 full and part time staff at P&K, we could still do with another senior part timer for weekend work in the Grocery. This could be a job share situation and would mainly involve Saturday which has become our busiest day. It could be ideal for someone wanting to escape young children for a few hours and earn a little independent income.

‘Sting Operation’
Foodstuffs have become so concerned about the fines and bad publicity caused by stores caught selling alcohol and cigarettes to under eighteen year olds, they have launched their own campaign to test staff. Over eighteen year olds are being sent around stores to check that ID is being asked for. Failure to insist on age identification could lead to a $500 fine. That is why you may have been asked for ID at P& K if you look under 30!
It would make it a lot easier if under 25 years old simply got into the habit of having identification ready when buying cigarettes or alcohol.

Official Business
The office has finally moved and we are all going to get a little fitter going up and down those stairs. Apologies to those who find stairs difficult. There is a smart rimu box kindly made by Gordon Taylor, at the bottom of the stairs in which to put account payments.
The old office will become the new Deli, with the walk in safe to be used as a pantry.
